PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production control system for ingots, which can reduce the dispersion of the weight of each ingots in casting the ingots by a continuous casting machine, and can easily keep the total weight of ingots gathered in one unit within a required allowable range. SOLUTION: In the production control system for the ingots B to be cast by the continuous casting machine A, the weight of piled ingots F gathered in one unit is measured and displayed by a measuring instrument G, and in addition, if the measured weight is not the specified weight, an alarm is given. The casting amount per hour is estimated by continuously measuring the weight of the piled ingots F gathered in one unit during casting of the ingots, and then the moving speed of a casting conveyer 1 is controlled by feeding-back the estimated information to the driving source 5 of the casting conveyer 1.
