PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent body preventing settling after absorbing body fluid in a case of using rattan (fiber bundle), having superior body fluid permeability and improving a fitting property. SOLUTION: This absorbent body includes a fiber assembly composed of rattan consisting of fibers and is characterized in that the fiber assembly is formed by bonding or fusion-bonding contact parts of the fibers at lines or points by imparting a binder thereto.
