The present invention relates to a system for selectively coupling a fork-lift truck and a truck with a loading space. The fork-lift truck herein comprises a frame having thereon a mast and forks movable along the mast for supporting a load. The system herein comprises engaging means for coupling the fork-lift truck and the truck, and aligning means for orienting the fork-lift truck relative to at least the engaging means during movement of the fork-lift truck from, toward or into the truck and prior to energizing of the engaging means.
