A light aircraft with road travel option has folding or removable wings and with at least one front wheel (6) and one rear wheel (8). Either the front of rear wheel is fitted to an adjustable support which moves the wheel away from the centre of gravity of the aircraft to increase the wheelbase and thereby improve road stability. A simple design has the rear wheel(s) on adjustable crank driven supports while the front wheel is coupled to the engine for direct road drive.
