<p>The invention disclosed an energy absorbing insert (400) for a headrest (100) in a vehicle seat which has a first main surface which when installed in a headrest will face the back of a user's head and comprises a number of plane elements (302, 304; 502, 504) with a first (305, 307) and a second main surface and at least a first (302', 304) and a second (302", 304") edge around said main surfaces. Said plane elements (302, 304; 502, 504) are arranged in the insert (400) with the first (302' 304) or the second (302", 304") edge facing the first main surface of the insert. Suitably the insert (400) can additionally comprise a frame (450) around at least part of the insert which protrudes beyond the rest of the insert and in which a number of the plane elements (302, 304) are attached.</p> |
