<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air intake pipe for a diesel engine capable of efficiently mixing EGR gas recirculated from an end part of an EGR pipe 21 with intake air. <P>SOLUTION: The air intake pipe for the diesel engine is provided with an outer pipe 31 wherein the end part of the EGR pipe 21 for recirculating a prescribed amount of the EGR gas from an exhaust passage 13a of the diesel engine 11 according to an operation condition of the engine 11 is connected to an outer surface, and an inner pipe 32 inserted in the outer pipe 31 so as to cover an end edge of the EGR pipe 21 from the inside. In the inner pipe 32, an upstream side end edge is inserted in an inner surface of the outer pipe 31 in a tightly fitting manner. Swelling parts 32a swelling inside so as to produce clearance between the swelling parts 32a and the inner surface of the outer pipe 31 are continuously formed from a portion facing the end edge of the EGR pipe 21 of the inner pipe 32 to an downstream side. The swelling parts 32a are constituted so that cross-sectional area of the clearance between the swelling parts 32a and the outer pipe 31 is expanded toward the downstream side. A plurality of gas holes 32b are bored in the downstream side of the swelling parts 32a, and the swelling parts 32a is formed so that an inner end part of the downstream side reaches an approximate center of the outer pipe 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
