<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a motor retractor capable of eliminating winding slack to a winding shaft of webbing in a normal wearing state without giving a discomfort such as an oppressive feeling to an occupant, and improving occupant restraining performance. <P>SOLUTION: In the motor retractor 10, when an occupant wears the webbing 28, while a middle portion of the webbing 28 is clipped by a pair of clamps 47, 48 at an outlet portion form the motor retractor 10 of the webbing 28, a motor 60 is rotated at high torque to wind up the webbing 28 to a spool 20 at a high load, and slack of a layered part 29 is eliminated. Then, holding of the webbing 28 by the pair of the clamps 47, 48 is released after stopping the motor 60. In this state, the layered part 29 of the webbing 28 is held by interlayer friction applied thereon, so that the reoccurrence of the slack is suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
