<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stair structure in which a center member is fitted accurately with excellent positional accuracy and a treadboard is fitted to the center member in a well finished manner. <P>SOLUTION: The stair structure includes center members 51b, 61b, 71b arranged side by side in a peripheral direction of a center structural member 1 and fitted to an outer periphery thereof to support inner end edges of a plurality of treadboards. Corresponding end edges of the adjacent center members are joined to each other. One of the corresponding end edges of the adjacent center members 51b, 61b is provided with a dowel 55b and the other end edge is provided with a dowel hole 66b which is long in a horizontal direction. In a state that the corresponding end edges of the adjacent center members 51b, 61b are joined to each other, the dowel 55b is inserted and fitted to the dowel hole 66b and vertical directional positioning is performed between the adjacent center members.
