<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED print head in which optical precision is enhanced by eliminating level difference and gap at the joint of lenses while reducing failure rate. <P>SOLUTION: The LED print head 10 comprises a substrate 12 mounting an LED 11, a heat sink 13 for mounting the substrate 12, three rod lenses 14a-14c transmitting light from the LED 11, holders 15a-15c for holding the rod lenses 14a-14c, and covers 16a-16c opposing the holders 15a-15c while holding the rod lenses 14a-14c between. The LED 11, the rod lenses 14a-14c, the holders 15a-15c and the covers 16a-16c are arranged in zigzag, adjacent rod lenses overlap partially in the longitudinal direction, and the heat sink 13 is bonded to the holders 15a-15c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
