PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat fixing member having excellent heat conductivity, heat resistance, low compression permanent set and high durability. SOLUTION: An elastic layer of the fixing member is formed by heating and curing an addition type silicone rubber composition containing (a) an organic polysiloxane containing alkenyl group, (b) an organo hydrogen polysiloxane and (c) 30-60 vol.% nitride powder surface treated with a silane compound containing an unsaturated group reactive with the organo hydrogen polysiloxane.
