PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent malfunctions, image quality and reliability degradations resulting from the temperature rise of a drive IC by suppressing its temperature rise even in a chip-on glass (COG) structure using the drive IC aside from a liquid crystal display panel in a liquid crystal display used in a liquid crystal projector apparatus. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display is composed of the liquid crystal display panel 10 which sandwiches liquid crystals between a TFT substrate 11 and a facing substrate 12, and the drive IC 15 disposed through a pad 18 on the substrate 11 constituting the above liquid crystal display panel 10 to drive the above display panel 10. The above drive IC 15 has at least a dummy hump 16a connected with a dummy pad 18a which functions as a heat sink among the pads 18 on the film substrate 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
