PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, method and program for information processing, by which the contents of the contents data stored in an information recording medium can be easily identified. SOLUTION: The device for information processing 100 manages the contents data to be recorded or recorded in the information recording medium, where individual identification information is preset. The device comprises a cover video information generating device 320 which creates moving image data, capable of specifying the contents data as the cover video information; and contents data managing device 400 which manages the individual identification information in the information recording medium, where the contents data are to be recorded or recorded by relating to the cover video information. By such a configuration, the contents of the contents data recorded in the information recording medium are recollected, and moving image data, with a shorter reproduction time than the contents data recorded in the information recording medium, can be generated.
