<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus constituted so that the ambient temperature of a fixing means and an image forming means may not rise equal to or exceeding a prescribed value in either of a single-sided image forming mode or a both-side image forming mode. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus provided with an image forming means for transferring a toner image to a paper and forming an image, and a fixing means for fixing the toner image transferred to the paper, and also, capable of selecting the single-sided image forming mode and the both-side image forming mode, is provided with: a 1st reverse paper feed part positioned on the downstream side of the fixing means in the paper carrying direction, for feeding the fixed paper while turning the fixed paper upside down when the single-sided image forming mode is selected; an air suction fan positioned near the 1st reverse paper feed part so as to suck the air into the apparatus; an air discharge fan arranged beside the air suction fan so as to discharge the air outside the apparatus; and a control means for operating only the air suction fan when the single-sided image forming mode is selected, and operating only the air discharge fan when the both-side image forming mode is selected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
