<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice-ball forming device enabling formation of a rice ball comprising a prescribed amount of cooked rice with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: This rice-ball forming device has the following structure: a pair of forming rollers 9a, 9b at the peripheral surfaces 10 of which recessed parts 12 are formed, are provided below a conveying mechanism 3; and the forming rollers 9a, 9b are arranged so that the recessed parts 12, 12 are opposite to each other when the peripheral surfaces come in contact with each other and simultaneously rotate in a reverse direction. With such a structure, cooked rice fed to the recessed parts 12, 12 of the forming rollers 9a, 9b are pressed by both of the inner surfaces of the recessed parts 12, 12 each to be formed into a rice-ball shape, and the peripheral surfaces 10, 10 of the forming rollers 9a, 9b come into contact with each other and the formed rice balls each comprising a prescribed amount of cooked rice in the recessed parts 12, 12 are cut off. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
