<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optometer capable of accurate examination without giving a burden to a subject. <P>SOLUTION: This optometer has a pair of left and right lens chamber units to subjectively examine the refraction of an examined eye by switching/disposing an optical element in an examination window. The optometer comprises a moving means for changing a space between the left and right lens chamber units, a command means for inputting a command signal to drive the moving means, a detection means for detecting that the face of the subject is located at a prescribed examination position and outputting detection signals to the left and right lens chamber units, and a control means for driving/controlling the moving means based on the command signal from the command means and prohibiting the moving motion to narrow the space between the left and right lens chamber units when the detection signals are outputted from the detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
