<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst-carrying structure being capable of decomposing particulate matter(PM) efficiently at relatively low temperatures while removing nitrogen oxides (NOx) and having a large surface area per unit volume and an apparatus for removal of diesel particulate achieving a high removal rate of particulate matter by using the structure and causing no pressure loss due to e.g. choking of the filter. <P>SOLUTION: The structure consists of at least one sheet of wire net rolled and carries, in the net, a catalyst for removing particulate in the exhaust gas of diesels. An apparatus for removal of diesel particulate equipped with the structure and a method of treating the exhaust gas of diesels based on treating the gas with the apparatus are also provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
