PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To load optical disks different in outside diameter by the same sequence control. SOLUTION: When loading optical disks 2A and 2B different in outside diameter by a disk conveying mechanism 34, in either case of the case the optical disk 2A having a large diameter is inserted and the case the optical disk 2B having a small diameter is inserted, the same detection switch for starting drive detects a driving lever 52 slid to the rear side of a rack member 101 by a prescribed quantity, driving of the driving lever 52 to the rear side is started based on the detection signal from the detection switch and driving of the driving lever is performed by using the same sequence while a plurality of detection switches detect the position of the driving lever 52.
