PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust an output image changing in response to a change of the scanning direction without making a circuit complicated. SOLUTION: When a liquid crystal panel is determined as opened in Step S102 and determined as rotated in Step S103, a CPU outputs a setting signal for a vertically and horizontally inverted display. A sample-hold circuit performs sampling at a timing corresponding to the horizontal inversion and vertical inversion. In order to prevent shift in the brightness tone and chromaticity on switching the timing for sampling, a display image processing circuit adjusts and outputs a color signal of at least one color of the inputted image signal based on a processing setting value after the change in Step 109.
