<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image construction method hardly susceptible to the slide direction of a finger when constructing the overall image of a fingerprint. <P>SOLUTION: An inspection area for finding a difference for a latest partial image read by a sweep type fingerprint sensor with respect to an acquired partial image is set in the acquired partial image along the displacement direction of two or more consecutive acquired partial images, a retrieval range for the position of the superposition of the latest partial image with respect to the acquired partial image is set based on the position of the inspection area, the latest partial image is displaced in the retrieval range with respect to the acquired partial image, and a difference between the acquired partial image and the latest partial image related to the inspection range is found for each displacement. Furthermore, the displacement of the latest partial image corresponding to the minimum difference among respective found differences is decided at the position of the superposition, and the latest partial image is disposed in the position of the superposition with respect to the acquired partial image and is stored. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
