COLOR FILTER SUBSTRATE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD, DISPLAY DEVICE, ELECTRO-OPTICAL DEVICE, AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the visibility of a color filter substrate by increasing the brightness and contrast of display.

SOLUTION: The color filter substrate 304a includes a transparent base 309a, a reflector film 312 formed on the base 309a, pigment factors 316 different in color formed on the reflector film 312, and transparent banks 314 formed on the boundaries of the pigment factors 316 on the reflector film 312. The pigment factors 316 are formed by injecting and solidifying in the areas surrounded by the banks 314 and the light shading materials 313 by using the ink jet technology. The banks 314 themselves make the opened areas on the reflector film.
