PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oily ink composition for a ballpoint pen, capable of smoothly writing until the last without getting blurred even on writing with high writing pressure on a copying papers, etc. SOLUTION: This oily pigment ink composition for the ballpoint pen contains at least a pigment as a coloring material, an organic solvent having a high boiling point and fine particles having≥8 new Mohs hardness and consisting of a mixture of 1 kind or≥2 kinds selected from alumina, silicon carbide, boron carbide, zircon, spinel, tungsten carbide, diamond, garnet, aluminum nitride and silicon nitride.
