PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel for a digital camera constituted so that dust is prevented from easily intruding into the lens barrel even when a lens frame arranged at the nearest side to an object is made movable. SOLUTION: A cover plate 20 is integrally arranged inside a straightly advancing cylinder 16 and has two hook sections 20f, 20g so as to hold an opening 20b therebetween. A shielding cylinder 25 is arranged so that movement in an optical axis direction is restricted by engagement of two projection sections 25a, 25b at its outer peripheral part with the hook sections 20f, 20g but movement in a direction perpendicular to an optical axis ia possible. Further movement of a 1st lens frame 35 in the direction perpendicular to the optical axis is regulated by allowing a cylinder section 35a where a 1st lens group 36 is attached to be fitted thereto. Thereby even when the 1st lens frame 35 is moved along the optical axis, external dust is prevented from intruding into the lens barrel by the shielding cylinder 25. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
