PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid valve capable of surely detecting two-position movement of a plunger in a solenoid valve in a simple structure. SOLUTION: In the solenoid valve having a detecting means electrically detecting movement of the plunger 6 which is driven by electricity-turning control to an electromagnetic coil 4, the detecting means comprises a traveler 17 movably arranged against a stationary core 5 excited by the electricity-turning control to the electromagnetic coil 4 and attracted by excitation of the stationary core 5, a biasing means 20 for biasing the traveler 17 to a direction separating away from the stationary core 5, and a switch 21 switching on and off by detecting portions 18 and 19 arranged on the traveler 17.
