PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To gain an umbrella having some freedom of a panel shape when the umbrella is opened, taking consideration of a rain with wind blow in a wide angle, a sunshine changing directions in time, a wide angle visual line from outside, a resistance of wind, or the like. SOLUTION: The structure is made so that the positions of a runner and a cap are focal points themselves and the mounting points (mounting positions where the tips of stretchers are mounted on the corresponding ribs) come to the position where a rotary ellipsoid gained from a axis connecting these focal points meets with a plurality of right circular cones as the tops of the focal points.
