A card (10) holds user information (12), balance information (13), and sound data (14) and makes settlement with a sale device (20) to enable commodity purchase through electronic money. When the card (10) is presented, the sale device (20) reads the user information (12), the balance information (13), and the sound data (14) through a wireless communication, settlement is made according to the information on the commodity specified by the user and the balance information(13), and the specified commodity is provided to the user. Using the sound data (14), at a predetermined timing of settlement, a predetermined sound is outputted. The sound data can be stored only in the sale device (20) or in both the card (10) and the sale device (20). A sound different for each user and for each event is produced.
