The invention relates to a method for producing polyester resins containing nanodispersed nanoscale additives as a binder for coating powders. According to said method, the nanoscale additives are introduced into the reaction batch in the course of resin synthesis in the form of a suspension in a liquid outer phase. The invention further relates to a method for producing coating powder formulations based on polyester resins as a binder component and optional pigments, fillers, and additives that are common for coating powders, the polyester resins used containing nanodispersed nanoscale additives. Also disclosed is a coating powder formulation based on polyester resins as a binder component and optional pigments, fillers, and additives that are common for coating powders, said coating powder formulation containing nanodispersed nanoscale additives in the binder matrix.
