Braking system by which a brake block is pressed against the path using a lever on the back wheel and an attached cable (4) pulled by the hand. The cable arrangement offers the user the possibility of operating it in the optimum way in an emergency. The cable is equipped with several grips (13) and attached to the belt area of the user or alternatively has only one grip (16) and fastened to the skating boot using a holding device (1,2,3).
