A tanker truck has a chassis under a rank with a top-mounted horizontal reel for a high-pressure hose. The hose is deployed and subsequently retracted in horizontal winding profile. During the wind-on operation, the hose is fed to the reel and maintained at the correct height in the horizontal reel by a lever arm whose position is maintained by a pneumatic cylinder.
