The particle separator for bulk materials in a pneumatic conveyor comprises a vertical cylindrical tank (4) with a tangential feed pipe (2) near its base and a tangential outlet pipe (3) above it. The base of the tank is fitted with a valve (10) which is closed when separation of bulk materials into individual particles is required and opened for connection to the conveyor.
