<p>The invention discloses a monitor method and device for computer case and power supply. On the system management bus in which computer is master device, a expanded monitor chip serves as slave device on the system management bus to form monitor device; measures rotation speed of fan, temperature, and operation voltage in the case and power supply. After temperature signal acquired by temperature sensor is transmitted to the monitor chip, outputs a control signal by monitor chip performing arithmetic processes; controls the rotation speed of fan by said amplify drive circuit. The system management bus of the invention is connected to PCI Express board, PCI board, PCI - X board and/or adapter connectors of the system management bus on the main board. With the method and device of the invention, it is possible to build intelligent computer case and power supply, to enable the whole machine muting and power-saving, to communicate with mainframe computer through the system management bus, to monitor the running states by program, and to facilitate to manage the computer case and power supply device more reasonably.</p> |
