<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the downsizing, the cost reduction, and the power conversion efficiency improvement of a power circuit which is equipped with a power factor improving function. <P>SOLUTION: A voltage resonance type converter is provided with a power regeneration system of power factor improving circuit. As regards an insulated converter transformer, the ripple of commercial AC power cycle to be superposed on secondary DC output voltage is reduced by putting it at the low coupling degree by a specified coupling coefficient or under.
