PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crosslinked polysaccharide polymer imparted with hydrophilicity while keeping merits inherent to the polysaccharide and causing little adverse effects to the circumstances and the human bodies, and having a uniform structure imparted with water resistance, to provide a method for producing the crosslinked polymer, to provide hydrogels derived from the polysaccharide, and to provide moldings having various shapes and obtained from the hydrogels. SOLUTION: The crosslinked polymer is an oxidized polysaccharide obtained by oxidizing the polysaccharide and having crosslinked structure between optional carboxy groups in the oxidized polysaccharide. The method for producing the crosslinked polymer comprises at least a step for oxidizing the polysaccharide, a step for dissolving or dispersing the obtained oxidized polysaccharide in water, and a step for crosslinking between optional carboxy groups in the obtained oxidized polysaccharide.
