PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder capable of avoiding conveyance trouble, such as jamming, caused by the breaking of the edge part of recording material at loading of a cartridge. SOLUTION: The image recorder is equipped with a loading part for loading the cartridge in which recording paper is housed, in a state where it is wound in a roll state so that it can be pulled out from a recording paper feeding port, and a conveying roller pair 40 arranged near the loading part so as to feed the recording paper from the loaded cartridge to an image forming part and constituted of a pair of rollers 40a and 40b. A guide member 40d for guiding the edge part of the recording paper, exiting from the recording paper feeding port from the loading aperture 12a side of the loading part to the carrying roller pair 40 when the cartridge is loaded from the loading aperture, in a state where the recording paper feed port is turned face downward is provided on the shaft end 40f of the roller 40a on the loading opening side.
