PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new shape control method of an improved body capable of controlling preparation of a complicated shape such as an optional polygonal shape and an elliptic shape without being influenced by the object ground by a simple machine device, by adding to a ground improvement technology using a high pressure jet used for the purpose of stabilizing the weak ground, reinforcing natural ground timbering, tunnel timbering and a foundation of a structure, preventing liquefaction, and preventing an impervious underground wall and spring water of underground water. SOLUTION: A construction method prepares the improved body in the ground by extracting or inserting a rod while injecting the high pressure jet of water including a hardening agent liquid or a hardening agent from a nozzle of a rod tip part. Rocking operation of a predetermined frequency for increasing or reducing an angle stepwise in a predetermined angle range, is performed while injecting the high pressure jet in a predetermined cross section from the nozzle, for forming a preparing cross-sectional shape of the improved body in a shape such as a predetermined polygonal shape or an elliptic shape except for a circular shape, by using a jet injected from a single nozzle.
