PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device having a locking mechanism of an inexpensive paper feeding cassette having less number of parts, small probability of failure, and excellent operation property. SOLUTION: This image forming device has a paper feeding cassette locking means for locking the paper feeding cassette in a predetermined position of the image forming device when mounting the paper feeding cassette on the image forming device. The paper feeding cassette locking means has a lock member for locking the locking member in the predetermined position of the image forming device, a supporting member erected on a mounting member fixed to a case body of the image forming device fixing the lock member, an elastic member having one end hung and fixed to the lock member and energizing the lock member in the direction in which it is locked in the locking member, and a hooking means for hooking the other end of the elastic member to a plurality of positions of the mounting member.
