PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact torque limiter capable of easily obtaining a torque within a prescribed range. SOLUTION: A torque limiter 10 which utilizes a hysteresis generated by relatively rotating magnets 22, 25 and a hysteresis material 13 at prescribed intervals kept between them in the circumferential direction includes a first part where a facing area between a permanent magnet 22 and a semi-rigid magnet 13 of a hysteresis material is fixed and a second part, arranged adjacent to the first part, where a facing area between a permanent magnet 25 and the semi-rigid magnet 13 changes. A position of the permanent magnet 25 is adjusted by operating an adjustment screw 30, thus achieving a desired torque. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
