The conveyor chain in the form of a roller chain (1) has rotatable rollers (5) installed on pins (4) which fit in holes in inner (2) and outer (3) link plates. The pins in the region between the inner link plates have a larger diameter than the diameter of the pin ends (7) installed in holes. The rollers are thin-walled in construction so that their outside diameter has the same measurement as with a pin with constant diameter over its whole length, and their inside diameter has a greater diameter in conformance to the larger diameter center section (6) of the pin.
