The tester has test probes adjustably attached to a handle, and an indicating device provided at handle exterior to indicate whether a fuse to be tested is defective. A LED (31) is provided at a side of the handle, is arranged parallel to the probes and is connected to a test circuit for illuminating the fuse to be tested. A LED (33) is provided parallel to a clamp and is connected to the circuit for illuminating a fuse to be changed.
