DEVICE FOR ASSISTANCE IN THE SELECTION OF A COMPRESSION ORTHESIS AND IN ADAPTING SAME TO THE MORPHOLOGY OF A LIMB

The device has an installation (26) establishing a data file representative of morphological characteristic of a person. A strain gauge establishes another data file representative of dimensional and morphological characteristics of orthosis defined at different successive sides of the orthosis. A computer (48) determines the values of restraining pressure to be exerted by the orthosis on the person from the data files. The former data file has three dimensional coordinates of meshing points distributed at the surface of the person along a succession of contours defined at different successive sides of the person. The values of the restraining pressure determined by the computer are presented in a graphical display.
