Zoom optics for a scanning light microscope

The zoom optical system (41) receives light reflected or scattered from the object, which has passed straight through a semireflecting mirror (17). The mirror is followed by the zoom system which is followed by an aperture plate (42), and a scanner (18). The scanner is followed by a positive lens (19) and a microscope module (4). The zoom optical system has four positive lenses spaced apart, three of which are movable longitudinally to change magnification.
