A guard frame, extending between the head and foot of a bedstead, is detachably fitted to the vertical members (10, 11) of the bed ends by hooks (17, 23) engaging therearound, at least some of the hooks being spring urged. The spring urged hooks (23) may be provided only at the head end of the frame and arranged so that, when an upper hook is released, the frame can be swung to a downwardly hanging position about the shanks (19, 25) of the lower hooks. The hooks may be coated with plastic or rubber. |
