<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for inhibiting the occurrence of errors due to the difference among undividuals or the changes in arterial pulse rates of the same individual over time, thus making it possible to accurately measure blood pressures. SOLUTION: In a stratifying section 24, a total of the difference between the data of an additional pulse rate on an envelope and the data being positioned on the time axis same as that of this additional pulse rate on the ground line (= deviation) is calculated. The stratifying section 24 stratifies the data of the additional pulse rate to either one of the plural layers complying with the deviation. A section for performing a stratifying operation 25 selects (determines) the calculation procedures based on the stratified result. A means 16 of judging blood pressures determines the highest and lowest blood pressures by performing an operation in accordance with the calculation procedures determined by the section for performing the stratifying operation 25. It becomes possible to feature the additional pulse rate by the relationship between the envelope and the ground line and select the most appropriate calculation procedure out of plural kinds of calculation procedures by complying with the above features, thereby making it possible to inhibit the occurrence of errors due to the difference among individuals and the changes in arterial pulse rates over time in the same individual.</p> |
