A guide, for supporting rotating bar stock in a lathe having a movable headstock 8A, comprises a sun gear 26 for adjusting planet gears 27 each carrying an eccentrically-mounted roller 37 for engaging the stock. The guide is held in a tapered ring 16 secured by a nut 21. The gear 26 is angularly adjusted by a knob 44 locked by screws 49. Slots 51, Fig. 7 (not shown), may be provided in the eccentrics to assist in adjustment. |
