<p>The apparatus has an adjusting drive (46), operable to bring a band into engagement with a conveyor unit (28), where the band is wound about a round bale in an area of a loose twine end. A band supply (44) is moved by the adjusting drive between a position where the band supply lies against the conveyor unit and the band is carried by the unit, and another position where the band supply is at a distance from the conveyor unit. An independent claim is also included for a round bale press having an apparatus for securing a loose twine end on a round bale.</p> |
