The cake dispensing unit (201) has a feed mechanism (202) placing individual cakes (203) in receptacles (207) on a chain (204). The chain passes over a number of guide rollers and moves past several dispensing points (205). Ejector mechanisms (214) may move cakes from individual containers onto conveyors (208). Output hoppers (312) lead to bags (210) held in the dispensing points. Labels (211) may be stuck to the bags. There is a control panel with pushbuttons (206). A receptacle (209) at the bottom receives unused cakes.
