<p>An apparatus for a surface drainage system comprises a longitudinal restrictor member 9 and at least one mounting means 10 adapted to locate the restrictor member 9 adjacent a longitudinal drainage slot 5 of a drainage channel section. The mounting means 10 are adapted to enable movement of the restrictor member 9 relative to the slot 5 in order to vary the effective area of the slot opening.
