Disclosed herein is a three-dimensional type magnetic toy, which is constructed so that permanent magnets are movably inserted in a main body having the shape of a three-dimensional polyhedron. The magnetic toy includes a main body (100) which is surrounded by a plurality of unit polygonal surfaces such that the main body has a form of a polyhedron, with a hollow space defined in the main body. A compartment (300) is defined inside each of a plurality of vertices where the polygonal surfaces meet each other. A permanent magnet (400) is movably inserted in the compartment. The magnetic toy allows main bodies to be firmly coupled to each other by magnetic force acting between the magnets moving in the compartments, and permits various coupling the polygonal surfaces, edges, and vertices of the main bodies, thus accomplishing three-dimensional structures of various shapes, and increasing the creative ability of a user. |
