Silencer (1) comprises a Y-shaped feed piece (2) arranged upstream of the silencer for joining two exhaust gas-removing lines (3, 4) to form a line (5) entering the silencer. The feed piece and the silencer are made from a common lower shell (6) and a common upper shell (7). An independent claim is also included for an exhaust gas installation containing the silencer. Preferred Features: A probe (10) for measuring parameters relevant to the exhaust gas is arranged in a region of the crossing point of both lines (3, 4). The probe is a NO xprobe. The feed piece has a flow guiding contour (11) for uniform mixing of the exhaust gases. |
