A server apparatus for use in an electronic asset utilisation system and a terminal of a user, the server comprising: an electronic asset issuance section which issues the electronic asset; an exchange certificate issuance section which issues an exchange certificate comprises an electronic asset ID, settlement information indicating that the charge billed to the electronic asset has already been settled and an expiration date; a retaining section which retains the issued electronic asset and the issued exchange certificate; and an exchange certificate processing section which transmits the issued exchange certificate to a terminal of a user, and when received the exchange certificate from the terminal, verifies the received exchange certificate, acquires the verified exchange certificate and an electronic asset corresponds to the electronic asset ID stored in the electronic asset status management section and sends the electronic asset to the terminal which the issued exchange certificate is transmitted.
