The proposed method for estimating the combined effect of pollution and anthropogenic eutrophication on the ecological state of a water ecological system implies determining indicators of the quality of surface water and determining the complex indicator that characterizes the effect of the pollution and anthropogenic eutrophication. The said indicators are the indicators that characterize the content of salts, trophosaprobiological indicators, and the specific indicators that characterize the content of toxic and radioactive substances. The proposed method is distinctive by analyzing the parameters of bottom deposits; adding, to the set of the trophosaprobiological indicators, the indicators that characterize the content of microphytobentose biomass, the content of chlorophyll, the pigment index, the biotic index, the content of total nitrogen, phosphorus, and organic carbon; adding, to the set of the specific indicators, the indicators that characterize the content of microcystine, the potential capacity of water to self-purification, the coefficient of accumulation of heavy metals in bottom deposits, and the toxicity of water.
